Was contacted through Indeed to come in for an interview. Did so and a very nice lady asked basic questions about transport, shifts and pay as well as why I was leaving my current job.
AGM of another store was actually across the way; turns out he was going to become the GM of the new store I was interviewing for and came over to talk to me. Very personable, but almost toooo friendly. Offered me a job on the spot; I accepted but had my doubts days after leaving the interview.
I applied for Shift Leader and the AGM said "we're not hiring for Shift Leader over there". I was asking for my pay matched, he bumped it down and said he'd bump me back up in three weeks.
I don't plan on keeping this job for long, if at all. If something better comes up I will take it immediately...my biggest red flag was the AGM letting out "we can barely keep anyone here for 6 months".
Definitely don't like applying for a position and then being coerced into being given a different position at a lower wage. I accepted because I was excited, but now that I've thought about it, I'm still pursuing other avenues.

Do you have reliable transportation?
What shifts are you looking for? Weekend availability or not?
What pay are you looking for?
Very laid back process of interviewing, the general manager was very conversational and judged character mostly rather than scripted questions that have no right answers. Laid out responsibilities and pay, training, etc
Quick and easy and straight to the point about background work and what I can expect on a daily basis everything seemed great and I look forwarded to joining the team
Incredibly easy, asked little to no questions about past experience. Short staffed location, so it was basically an offer discussion more than an interview. You should ask about daily bread count and number of staff working lunch hours
