I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at LensCrafters (Harrisonburg, VA) in Jun 2012
Interview
There wasn't any. They looked at me, said I was cute enough. It was very awkward and uncomfortable. I wanted to cry and leave but I was in a teeny tiny office and felt objectified. If I didn't so desperately need the job I never would have taken it. Once hired, it did get slightly better once I took a stand and made them realize that they wouldn't be allowed to smack my rear end, which happened repeatedly. If you are cute, you will get hired. If they consider you non attractive, your application will go in the trash. They do not even shred your application for privacy measures so your social security number, address and phone number are easily viewed.

Video interview with a woman that did not turn on her camera. The woman was a store manager but this was her first time working in the optical business. She was so green, I should have been interviewing her. Simple and easy, very straightforward. I did not have to wait long and the person interviewing me was very professional. The store was clean and the other employees were friendly.
