I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Luxottica in Oct 2010
Interview
I've been interviewed with this company for an associate position as well as a management position. I also give interviews for potential sales associates.
During the management interview they will ask a few of the basic questions regarding customer service i.e. how you've dealt with a difficult customer etc. as well as shrink/lp inquires. I was asked how I would change the store as the assistant manager, how I could make sure we improve our sales for the year, and how I could train my associates to function as "mini-me's." The interview was supposed to be with only the district manager. They were unavailable at the last minute so I basically had her two assistants interviewing me. They asked a few questions to get to know me as a person, what I like to do where I grew up etc. I brought a copy of my resume of course which helped give them questions to ask on the spot. They spent a lot of time talking about the direction the company was going in as a brand etc.
As far as sales associates interviews we typically ask the same customer service oriented questions. Do you like working alone, how do you keep up on fashion trends, how do you make a customer for life, what do you do when faced with an ethical dilemma. Nothing out of the ordinary for retail
The one thing that is asked at probably every sunglass hut interview is describe yourself in five words... here they're looking for the five attributes that are desired in every sales person with sunglass hut.
Generally speaking anything along the lines of genuine, savvy, sexy (in the fashion term not victoria's secret sexy), fun, inspiring.

The interview process typically begins with presenting yourself professionally—dress appropriately to make a strong impression. During the interview, provide specific examples of your skills and experience. Be sure to ask insightful questions about the role and the company, such as how they measure success or handle specific challenges. Discuss your availability clearly. After the interview, if you receive a job offer, the remainder of the hiring process usually involves handling paperwork, email correspondence, and background checks.
