The interview for my current job was in 2005. It was for a small technical customer service team embedded with developers. After a brief email and phone discussion, I came in for the main interview. It was casual and included the existing team, which felt appropriate considering the customer-facing nature of the job. Although I was not hired right away - due to a temporary company-wide hiring freeze - I believe my combination of technical and clear communication skills helped me land the job.
