I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at McGraw Hill (New York, NY) in Apr 2024

Robust! And very thorough. I had 4 detailed conversations: 1, With the recruiter, 2. With the Director of the department 3. With 2 peers already hired for the same position, different grade levels, and 4. The recruiter once more with a job offer.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at McGraw Hill (Orlando, FL) in Oct 2025

      Interview

The first interview was a recorded interview with a less than 2 minutes to answer a few questions. I was given 3 attempts to record my response and choose the best one to share. The second interview was conducted by a recruiter. The recruiter sounded distracted and completely uninterested in my answers. The entire experience felt as if I was just another interview to check off her list. In fact, it sounded as if she was driving or shopping. She called me by my last name and when I redirected her to my correct name, she seemed annoyed. Needless to say, she sent a letter a few days letter (addressed to my last name) to let me know I was not chosen to move forward in the interview process.
