It was smooth and quick (3 weeks). 3 rounds with questions about experience and then hard/soft skills. Emphasis is on being a good person (someone they would like to work with).
Average interview. Whole process from application to offer took about a month and a half. Interview was with department director and took about 45 minutes. Many questions related to experience working with content and curriculum design, working with a national product, experience in the classroom and similar positions.

Interview
I applied for the Academic Designer role in June 2023. The in-house recruiter emailed me in September to set up a phone screening. I interviewed mid-September and was told I would hear back with the next steps as soon as the hiring manager gave feedback. After two weeks of not hearing anything, I reached out to the recruiter who let me know the hiring manager was on vacation and would be back in a week. I waited another 2 weeks before reaching back out. The recruiter then let me know that they were taking a pause on hiring for the position but would let me know when the hiring freeze was over. It took her another two weeks to let me know that they were ready to move on to the next step which would be a writing task, it was mid-November at this point. Again I didn't hear back for a few weeks and decided to reach out one last time. The recruiter let me know that the hiring manager had not given her feedback yet but would try to get back to me by the end of the week. On November 29th, 5 months after submitting an application, the recruiter let me know they had decided to go with someone else.
