I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at McMaster-Carr (Elmhurst, IL)
Interview
I really enjoyed interviewing with this company. I was very disappointed to not get an offer. The on-site interview was exhausting, but fun. Ask lots of questions--make sure to know a lot about the company. Each interviewer had a very different style, so be prepared to have different types of conversations. Some interviewers were more serious and others were much more interested in getting to know me. Definitely do some thinking about the industry beforehand and try and come up with questions about good business decisions/inventory balances, warehouse practices, etc.

Question 1
I was randomly asked a question about current events--probably because of my major. I didn't have much of an opinion on the issue because I was a full time university student finishing my senior thesis and applying for jobs.... and the interviewer totally got that and said she could relate when I explained. But the question was asked very seriously and her response was very relaxed. Bizarre.

Interview
The interview process was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. I really appreciated that the discussions were fully behavioral, allowing me to naturally draw on my past experiences. Furthermore, the company truly goes out of its way to treat you like a VIP throughout the entire visit, covering a remarkably nice hotel stay and providing a generous stipend to ensure you are completely comfortable.
