I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mews (London, England) in Apr 2022
Interview
The interview process was slick.
I had a call with one of Mews' Talent Acquisition Managers within 72 hours of applying for the role, where I got the opportunity to hear more about Mews and the Design Team.
I then had 2 further interviews; the first one with the VP of design - this didn't feel like an intrusive interview at all, it was much more of an open conversation where I could find out much more about the role, the vision for the design system and the team(s) involved.
The second interview was a presentation to one of the Lead Designers all around my previous experience and knowledge of Design Systems. Again, whilst this was a presentation, it felt more like a conversation.
I was offered the role shortly after finishing the presentation, which I didn't hesitate in accepting - as mentioned, the process felt quite slick, at no point did it feel like an interrogation, or I was trying to be tripped up, there was a two-way conversation at all times.
From start to finish the process took about 3 weeks.

Question 1
What was my previous experience leading a design system? How do I collaborate with fellow designers and engineers? What is my experience with creating, maintaining and publishing Tokens? What are the challenges I face on a daily basis?
