It started with an hr screening call where we talked about my background, past experiences, reasons to switch jobs, and motivations to join Mews. What I really appreciated at this point was that the recruiter was an internal employee and could describe the culture and values through examples of specific situations. Also even though I did not match the initial position I was applying for, the recruiter suggested a different, more suitable one which was perfect for me. The second interview was with one of the design directors, who himself had experience with design systems. This talk was very detail-orieted. He asked about the tools I used, and the ways I did certain things, he wanted to see the examples and outcomes of my work. It was really oriented towards understanding what have I actually done, how I did it, and my overall knowledge of the design systems building process. After that interview, I was expecting a talk with the VP but, surprisingly, already got the offer. While happy with the fast process and positive outcome, I wanted to get to know more people and get more insights, therefore we arranged a call with 2 designers, a talk with the VP, and also an office visit before I signed the offer. During the whole process, I really appreciated the friendliness and openness of every person I spoke to and the great contact with the recruiting team. They answered quickly all my questions in between the calls.
