I recently had an interview experience with this company that, while brief, was handled professionally and considerately. The process consisted of two main steps:
- An initial call with the recruiter.
- A follow-up call with the VP of Design.
During the call with the VP of Design, I was informed that they would not be able to proceed with my application due to their inability to hire in Portugal1. While disappointing, I appreciated the VP's thoughtfulness in personally explaining the situation. It was considerate of him to take the time to call and provide a clear explanation rather than simply sending a rejection email or not following up at all.
This level of communication demonstrates respect for candidates' time and effort. Even though the outcome wasn't what I had hoped for, the company's approach to handling this situation left a positive impression.
