Mujin interview questions

Interviewed at night because of different time zones. The tech lead is in Japan and I am in Atlanta. We called through MS Team. HR sent me an email with time-slot availability, most of them are in MIDNIGHT! Expected a 90 min discussion but got 3 hours. Probably the least organized interview I ever had. No coding puzzles. Math on a whiteboard only. What is shocking and ridiculous is the whiteboard literally means a physical whiteboard facing the camera! It's hard to know what he's writing and show him my process. This is confusing because the MS Team has a shared virtual Whiteboard extension where we can cooperate much more efficiently! Because it's a long-distance virtual meeting, the audio, and video are always not so stable, making it really hard to understand the question and the tech lead also spoke too fast and had a strong accent. The interview lasted about 3 hours. I was first asked about previous projects and some basic concepts. Then we worked on how to do 6D pose estimation for several parts in a box given the CAD file of the parts. By the end, I didn't even have a clear mind to understand the question because it was midnight and had lasted far longer than I expected. (I have already picked the earliest timeslot but still have to stay up.) And I have other work to do the next morning!! I don't think interviewees' work-life balance matters to them. Kind of foreseen the life of their employees.

It was a tricky session, where some of the fundamental concepts on Perception and Computer Vision were asked. Concepts such as Calibration, Camera Intrinsics, Stereo Geometry, Projective transformations were asked.
