I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual in Feb 2016
Interview
There were 2 interviews and a survey over the course of one week before an offer was made.
The first interview is with the hiring manager, consisting of basic background questions and an explanation of the job and expectations, lasting about an hour. Then they email a "Culture Index" survey to complete. The first part asks to select words from a large list that describe you. The second part asks to select words that describe desired qualities of someone who would fill the position.
The second interview is with a managing partner, lasting about 15 minutes. He asked a few of the same questions as the hiring manager, and gave some information about himself and his history with the company.
