The process was pretty standard and closely followed the very helpful guide the recruiter sends out: - recruiter call - technical screening: practical React widget - onsite: 1 "coding" round that I'd say is about LC Easy, 1 practical React widget, 1 systems design, 1 manager interview - leadership call Although the recruiters I interacted with were great, I didn't feel like the interviewers were very engaged. Out of all the rounds, only 1 interviewer seemed like they were really paying attention and interacting with me. Everyone else was either going straight down a list of questions or seemed like they didn't really want to be there (maybe they already made up their mind about me as a candidate beforehand?). Overall my experience was very meh. None of my interviewers were rude or anything but the interviewing process did not portray a sense of collaborative culture (like how fb and google interviewers are trained on) nor did it make me feel like Notion interviewers remember that the process is also for the candidate to judge whether or not they want to work with them. Even though I didn't get an offer, my interviewing experience at Notion didn't make me excited to work with the people I interviewed with either. Maybe that's a signal that it just really wasn't a good fit.
