Really poor interview experience! I have applied to Notion on a number of occasions in recent years as they have consistently been growing & I have heard great things from people working there but their recruitment process is worse than any other company I've applied to. My most recent experience was that I applied for an Account Manager role 4.5 months ago but did not hear back from them for almost 3 weeks, which personally I feel is too long. I was advised that they would be moving forward with other candidates. Although I was disappointed, I had no problems with this rejection but I was then approached through LinkedIn about this very same role 4 months later. This seemed very odd considering I had already been knocked back for this same role already & as the recruiter advised that my experience in my current role was what made her feel I could be a fit for this role even though I am not currently in an Account Management role. Although in hindsight my call with the recruiter could have been better, I felt that I had showcased my experience well enough to progress to speaking with the hiring manager but unfortunately that was not the case. I also had to chase the recruiter for this news as she had advised me that she would come back to me within a certain timeframe but had not. The morale of the story: with Notion's recruitment process keep your expectations low & seek clarification on what they're looking for in the role compared to the job spec
