Recruiters were terrible and have no empathy for those in the process. I was ghosted for nearly a month after an interview, despite several follow-up emails sharing my continued interest in the role. When the recruiter finally got back in touch with me A MONTH LATER, it was with a generic rejection, with zero feedback. I don't think it's necessarily fair to reject someone after a month of having spoken to them. You're either basing a decision off of how you think you felt a month ago, or you genuinely had your decision a month prior, and failed to communicate that to a candidate in a timely manner. In such a competitive job market, I would have expected recruiters at a company like Notion to have some empathy and care when dealing with candidates. You could, at the very least, reject someone in a timely manner so that they are not sitting around waiting for your decision. As a recruiter, it is your responsibility to deliver a great candidate experience, regardless of your decision.
