I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at One Medical (San Jose, CA) in Aug 2022
Interview
The interview process is in 3 rounds.
1st is a phone call with a coordinator that will ask some simple questions regarding past roles and how you work etc. This is pretty quick and easy.
2nd is via zoom with with a manager. This one gets more intense, be prepared with examples for when you worked with a team, when you helped a customer etc.
3rd is via zoom with 2 different folks and it is 2 hours long. You will shadow someone who works the position you are applying for and will walk through their system to get a feel for it and ask questions. After that you will be asked two scenario questions. Mine were along the lines of a patient coming in late, and responding to a customer who is frustrated with waiting. This was easier than it seems so don't be too nervous. You won't know exacts like wait time or message someone etc but they understand that you don't know the system.
The second part of this interview is with a manager. Here you will be asked more questions and examples about work. A time you put your team above your own work, a time you were frustrated with your manager and how you handled it and so on. Have questions ready! They like to know that you're engaged and care about what you may be getting yourself into.
After this you will have 15 minutes to write a mock email. This is also easier than it seems. My tip is to introduce yourself and focus on helping the patient, and being accommodating. My question for the email was to explain what One Medical is and what the patient could expect. Again, they don't expect you to know everything just enough to make One Medical sound good!
After this, you will have 2 questions regarding how you take and receive feedback and examples from past experiences.
After all this you will receive a call within the next few days going over the feedback the team had about your interview process and of course and offer or a decline and why.
For such a low paying job, I found this interview process over exaggerating. I know they want to find employees that are capable and fit what they're looking for, but I found it overly taxing for a noncompetitive salary. You can find good people with just one 45 minute interview.
