      Interview

Passed through a quick first round interview (which was very nice) and moved on to Round 2 which consisted of having two interviews, one with a sales leader and one with that sales leader's boss. The interviews were on two different days so we had two different time blocks cleared on my calendar. I shifted around some personal appointments and things to accommodate both times. My interview with the first sales leader was pleasant and conversational. A few hours after that interview I was informed they wouldn't be moving me forward and were taking my second interview off the calendar. At no point before was it made clear that this was something that could happen. I had been told to prepare for two interviews and that I would meet with two people. I understand if someone is not a fit for a role, but it seems a bit impersonal to tell someone to prepare for two interviews as part of the process and then just cancel the next one on short notice. People have lives to live and other responsibilities to attend to. In the future, please inform candidates this is a possibility before they spend time and effort preparing for two interviews. I had a good experience up to this point, but such an abrupt and unprofessional ending left me feeling disappointed in the process. Given that 2/3 of interviewees rate their experience as negative, it seems like an audit of the process is needed.
