      Enterprise Sales Director Interview

      Oct 29, 2020
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Prove (Toronto, ON) in Oct 2020

      Interview

I was interviewed by a recruitment person and progressed to video interview by the concerned department. Seems like a highly unprofessional company. It was indicated to me that they would like to setup another call to discuss further. I did not hear back from them again and no status update on my follow-up.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

There weren't any significant questions. In fact, I was asked just one generic question during the entire 45 mins interview. Rest of the time I had to fill in with my industry relevant background, domain expertise, success in meeting and exceeding targets, and asking a lot of questions to better understand the company and the vision.

      Interview

In hindsight, this was just laughably bad. They don’t have a legit tech team - ask them about how they manage their roadmaps and how they work with engineering. Their executive team doesn’t seem to communicate with each other, because they all give different answers on what the company’s goals are. Or even when it comes to the interviewing, I’ve had two senior leadership members come in saying they’re not really sure what they’re supposed to talk about. The recruiter is an incredible bottleneck at helping anything move forward, and, as mentioned in another review, doesn’t seem to understand the roles, teams, or really what’s going on with the company. And it’s incredibly telling that a number of people who left the company don’t have positive things to say about the place. (Try reaching out to them on LinkedIn) Compensation initially seems okay until you ask them about the details. Then they try to not answer. (Try asking about the comp structure - they’ve literally told me that they’re only willing to share this once I’ve signed.)

      Question 1

Nothing really significant - they just ask about your experiences. But that’s expected if no ones prepared for the conversation.
