Interview
TLDR: SUPER unprofessional experience - was ghosted AFTER submitting references even after I followed up by email a week later.
Had one phone screen, then one interview with 2 people over zoom where they didn't seem to have question prepared ahead of time and one of the interviewers went off-camera for the last 15 minutes. Was asked for writing samples a week later, and the next day was asked for references. Submitted references after asking clarifying questions about the form for references - but when I submitted my references I saw they'd already REPOSTED THE ROLE ONLINE THAT SAME DAY. I waited a week to hear back, emailed as well, but was ghosted.

How would you handle clients that can be short-tempered or want a response immediately?

Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter to interview for a new leadership role in Communications. The first interview went well, and they said they'd have someone be in touch in a few days to schedule a follow-up interview. That never happened. They totally ghosted me and never responded to my follow-up emails or requests for the status of the next interview. Then, three weeks later, I received an incomplete, templated rejection notice without explanation.
If I am being honest, I believe my requested salary was too high, but when the job was originally posted no salary range was listed and my interview occurred before they updated the job requisition to include a salary range.
In any case, I think I dodged a bullet here because the poor follow-up and lack of simple communication for a communication leadership job were disappointing.
