Sotheby's Floater interview questions

The interview was at least 15 minutes, but extremely awkward. The interviewer asked about my radio show more than my interest in art history and why it was pertinent to the position. Think of it like going on a bad date!

I got an email from a recruiting coordinator on behalf of someone else in HR, who knew someone who knew a family member and this is how I got the interview. I had never actually applied for anything, and I was never told what the interview was FOR. I asked the recruiter to clarify in an email and she didn't. So, I literally went into this interview blind, and had to ask the HR person I met with what I was interviewing for. I had assumed Floater but she never mentioned the name of the position so I finally had to ask. THAT was awkward. She apologized about 6 times but I didn't get an offer. I didn't like the interview either. It lasted 15 minutes in a really drab room, and she cut off all of my answers. I very much felt rushed out, where I then had to spend about 30 minutes in the lobby filling out this extremely detailed application. Such a foolish waste of time.
