I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Southern Company (Little Rock, AR) in Aug 2017
Interview
I was contacted via email by the hiring manager and told “You have been selected for a telephone interview for the Energy Efficiency Project Manager position. Please reply by email on your availability for a 30 minute call to discuss and explore our compatibility for the Project Manager vacancy. Here are some pre-selected blocks of times (all time central) which I am currently available, but subject to change.”
I find you can tell so much about a company’s culture by how they treat candidates. Not far into my panel “interview” I could tell this was a staged interview for the amusement and curiosity of the hiring panel. They reveled in almost mocking some adverse policy changes by my current employers regulator.
In follow up with the hiring manager I was given no response to either email or phone communication. It was an experience that made it very clear that the culture is decayed at this company.
