Interview
The process for Southern Company’s Talent Acquisition is horrible. I applied for multiple roles close to February or March of this year and didn’t get a reply until May. Finally, I a got a response to “Please be patient” and then received email that the hiring manager will contact me. The manager did contact me, but he didn’t ask about qualifications only talked about his home life in Alabama. He said that I should receive an email or something by the end of the week. I received an email the end of the following week that they were pursing other candidates. I have applied for other positions and waited an extended amount of time to hear no response. This company either has a horrible HR or very selective on candidates based on other criteria……..
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Southern Company (Birmingham, AL) in Sep 2021
Interview
There was a panel interview with five members. Each of the panel members ask a question and moved on to the next question after an answer. There was not much of a dialog between me and the panel members.
