Applied online and received a request for recruiter phone screen/phone interview. During the screen, the recruiter was actually a recruiting coordinator and told me since they weren’t a recruiter, they didn’t have access to compensation bands. That was odd to me. They asked me several behavioral interview questions and seemed very disinterested in me or my answers. It seemed they they were just going through the motions.
I was asked to submit a written project before moving on. After passing that, I had a skills based round with another RC where I was given a prioritization, written, and scheduling exercise to complete within 60 minutes. I have prior experience in the RC role and the exercises seemed very easy and straightforward. I was sure I aced the interview.
Two days after, the RC sent me an email saying they were not moving forward with my candidacy. They didn’t provide any feedback. Their written project and skills based interview all ask you to write in ‘Stripe tone’ or talk about Stripe’s culture. This is very odd to me. How are we suppose to know this as a candidate? I’m certain I did fairly well on the skills based interview and even if I missed a few things, hard skills are coachable.
You can’t expect perfection from candidates and the entire process is too long and tedious. The RC role is entry level and should not require this many projects and rounds. I come from a FANG company and our process is much less arduous than Stripe’s. Overall, negative interview experience.
Had a brief 30 minute "behavioral" phonically interview. A couple days later I got an email saying they were not moving forward. I did not get any real feedback on why I was not selected to move on to the next round.

Why do you want to work at Stripe? Tell me about yourself.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Stripe (Seattle, WA) in Mar 2022
Interview
I applied through the stripe site and was contacted within a few days to set up an interview through a scheduling tool- the interviewer ended up having to reschedule just prior to our meeting, but we did finally connect.
Initial interview was pretty basic with general questions, the interviewer was personable and gave me a take home test consisting of composing answers to a series of emails to be completed in three business days.
I was not able to submit my test to the link provided as it was no longer active after 1 day, so I emailed it to the recruiter as indicated if there were issues submitting and have not heard from them since.
Stripe seemed like an interesting place to work, but the recruiting process leaves a bit to be desired.
