I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Study.com (Mountain View, CA) in Aug 2019
Interview
I received an email about a phone screen, and spoke to a very friendly interviewer. She answered many common questions at the beginning of the interview, and was a fairly laid back first phone screen. HR gets back to you very quickly about next steps and their communication is fantastic. I did not make it past the next stage interview, but overall was a pleasant experience.

Question 1
What are some of your thoughts on the pros/cons of ed-tech?
1) standard recruiter call with discussion of compensation band 2) 1-2 team member video interview involved some technical evaluation (I was tasked with analyzing a spreadsheet and making recommendations based on it) 3) technical assessment of writing content related to a prompt 4) final panel—didn't get to this because I ended up withdrawing but would've involved meeting with more team members and probably would've included more behavioral/situational questions

Question 1
Depended on which stage of the process, but there was generally a mix of some situational and thought process questions to understand how you'd approach the work and engage with the team

Interview
Recruiter reached out and sent me a calendar link to schedule an interview. After they asked me some simple Qs, they told me they would get back to me the following Monday but never did. The interview went well from my perspective...they seemed excited about my qualifications. Monday passed, and I followed up...alas...I was ghosted by the recruiter, like so many job seekers before me . This tells me two things about Study: 1. They don't value their interviewees' time, and 2. if they don't respect you in the interview process, they certainly won't respect you working there. Oh, well! Don't feel too bad if this happens to you. Reflects more on the company than on you as a person.

Interview
A phone interview, then 3 rounds of virtual meetings each with 2 interviewers, mostly in adjacent roles and direct supervisory roles. Was very hard to coordinate times, as I think their coordinator left during the process?
