Tapingo interview questions

Phone screen with one of people on team (30 minutes), Onsite (4 people). Really unprofessional onsite, they have dogs walking around during the interview room. It's cool that it's a dog friendly workplace, but it's a little distracting for the interviewer. No real regard if ppl have allergies (which I do) or might be shy/apprehensive around dogs (which I'm not), but at the very least they should have the courtesy to ask. Also, one of the interviewers (CEO) was eating cereal during the interview. I guess it's cool that it's casual, but c'mon..this is an interview! It's a bit rude/distracting to hear munching and slurping during an interview. They told me it would last 2 hours, but then kept adding more people for the interview and went over by an hour. I had another meeting that I ended up being late to because they kept adding people...finally I had to tell them that I was already late for a meeting so I had to cut it off. Overall the company seems a bit disorganized and doesn't really care to value the candidates very much. While some people I spoke with were very nice, the CEO and other people I spoke with had this sense of arrogance that you get in some startups when they've had modest/early success. Also, I hate when people throw around words like "disrupt" for small trivial changes like this. It's a good service and makes lives a little simpler for students. There are no competitive moats, no technology differentiation, no advantages to being first to market, and there is no business/industry that is being displaced or "disrupted."

First I did three separate phone interviews. Each time I interviewed with someone on the phone it was with someone other than who I was told I'd be talking to. During one of the scheduled 30 minute calls the Chief Business Officer's phone clunked out we ended up talking for about 10 of the 30 minutes. Next I went in on two occasions and met with people. Just like with the phone, I did not meet with who I was told in most every instance. When I finally met with the CEO he was like a sad puppy because a customer had just dropped them for a competitor so the whole interview he was watching a television over my shoulder not even realizing he was asking repetitive questions.
