I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Teck Resources Limited
Interview
Recruitment agency contacted me about an opportunity and provided a job description.
The description was all over the place, being both very junior responsibilities and high level technical design & implementation, I estimated there were 2-3 different jobs in the description that did match the job title and pay scale.
I questioned the recruiter on this and they could provide no answers but said they would engage the employer for more details.
A week later I was re-contacted by recruiter to say I did not fit the requirements. Ok I said, thank you for the follow up.
2 days later I was re-contacted by the same recruiter to say the employer now realizes, after interviewing higher level prospects who were expecting significantly higher pay , that their job description was inaccurate and they would like to interview me.
It took almost 2 months to arrange an interview due to "scheduling" on their end.
During the interview, they asked me no technical questions and focused on my previous customer service and "how to train end users on basic functions"
I asked some detailed questions on systems & operations which I felt was not fully explained in the interview but did not feel it was worth pressing.
Did not receive any follow up communication and had to press the recruiting twice to find out that they decided to delay hiring.
Found them to be very confused about scope and unprofessional in terms of scheduling.
