I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (Singapore) in Jun 2022
Interview
Went through 5 rounds of interview only to be told the position is on hold. The interviewers were nice and friendly and answered the questions but I felt it was a waste of the candidate's time.
The interview process took about 6 weeks and I had gone through 5 video interview rounds. HR recruitment coordinator was very responsive and accommodating.
Overall, the interviewers were professional and demonstrated interest in learning about my career experiences. Some looked/sounded tired (and less interested) but the hiring manager was upbeat and enthusiastic, making the process much more enjoyable.
As there were so many interview rounds, several questions across interviews overlapped. I was at times left uncertain if internal interview notes had been exchanged or if I should answer from scratch as I did in the previous rounds.
I thought I had received positive responses at the end of each round but received a rejection after my last interview the next working day. I wasn't sure where I did not do well / wasn't found to be a good fit. Nonetheless, HR got back to me fast and did not leave me hanging.
