Vizient interview questions

I was contacted by Vizient, pretty much immediately after applying through LinkedIn for a Sr. Analyst position. One of the VPs reached out that day and we chatted for 30 minutes about the position, my background, and my level of interest. When I made it known that I was interested, the VP scheduled for me to formally come in for an interview the next morning. I went into their Oakland office the next day and met with the VP and one of the senior analysts. They, again, went over my background, some of the projects I did, why I was looking to make a jump, etc. They also gave a very simple Excel test involving VLookUps, Pivot Tables, and some ad hoc practices. I thought the interview went well, and that I aced the Excel test. The VP told me to expect a call the next day, which I saw as a sign that the company was interested. The next day, the VP emailed me asking to provide a list of references, which I did. I, again, took this as a sign that things were moving quick. From that point, Vizient went completely dark. My references told me two weeks later that they were never contacted. I followed up by emailing the VP of the company for a status update, to which she never responded. She never answered my phone calls or made any effort to contact me after the interview. Like many other companies, the people at Vizient would rather treat you like a subordinate and leave you in the dark, than be professional and let you know that they are moving on. Basically, expect to be treated poorly during the interview process. I was given hints and signs that things were going well, only to be completely left in the dark about what was happened. While it was frustrating to go through this experience, I am ultimately glad that I was not hired here, because I would rather work for a company that treats people with a bit more respect.
