Internationally changed the job title to avoid retaliation but here’s my honest experience. I recently went through an initial phone screen with this company and found the experience unnecessarily adversarial. The recruiter leaned heavily on “gotcha”-style questioning rather than focusing on a constructive evaluation of skills and experience. There was also a noticeable shift in tone when discussing a gap on my CV, which felt more like an attempt to create discomfort than to understand context. At one point, I was told that references would be required for me specifically, despite this not being part of the standard process ,which raised concerns about consistency and fairness. Ultimately, I chose not to continue in the process. While every company has the right to assess candidates as they see fit, the way candidates are treated , particularly around sensitive topics like career breaks matters. A more respectful and structured approach would significantly improve the experience
