Our mission is to provide health benefits that offer high-quality, affordable healthcare to our participants at better value with better service than is otherwise available in the market. We believe our success depends on innovation and on engaging our participants.
Weʼre the Culinary Health Fund. People sometimes call us The Fund. The Fund provides healthcare benefits (insurance) to culinary workers in Las Vegas. We provide medical, dental, pharmacy and eye care benefits. We serve over 50,000 participants and their 60,000 dependents. Our goal is for our participants to get the best possible care that is affordable for them.
We also offer other healthcare services and support. We operate the Culinary Health Centers and pharmacies in Las Vegas.
The Culinary Health Fund is a multi-employer Taft-Hartley Fund. We were established in 1981. We’re funded by collective bargaining agreements that are negotiated by unions and funded by employers. This means we work with unions and employers to give our participants great benefits. A board of trustees governs us. This makes sure both employers and workers have a voice in all of The Fund’s choices.
