This year, Respiratory Care Week will be observed October 22 to 28 to celebrate the profession of respiratory therapy and raise awareness about lung health. In honor of #NationalMedicalAssistantsWeek, meet Siria. Siria has worked for PIH Health for more than 12 years and is currently a medical assistant in the family medicine department at PIH Health Lambert medical office building. Growing up with close family members who often were in and out of the hospital because of many health issues inspired Siria to work in the healthcare industry after she experienced how great medical care can be. Siria prides herself on providing excellent patient care by always listening to patients. “While I may not always be able to help them,” she says, “I try my best to listen so that I can point them in the right direction regarding who can best assist them with their needs.” Thank you to Siria and all the PIH Health medical assistants for continuing to put #PatientsFirst.
