      I can't say enough about how much I love this company

      Pros

      Super smart co-workers. Low egos. Innovation. Customer focused. Management that cares about you as a person. Everyone in the company is an owner (We've even gotten paid a dividend!) Really yummy food from the on site grill. Free soda on tap. I could go on. By far the best company I've ever worked for.

      Cons

      It's getting bigger and more complex. Sometimes, things that shouldn't take very long have to be routed through "committees" and it slows things down. When you are dependent on other teams to get your stuff done, it can be frustrating to wait.

      Pros

      Don't let the weird, antiquated name fool you: 1-800 Contacts is awesome, and a really great place to work. Sure, we've got all the regular good job stuff: solid benefits, a nice gym, and a fantastic grille for when you're in-office. But it's the people part of the gig that stands out. As an employee, I can tell that management (not to mention my coworkers) truly cares about me, my contribution to the company, and my success in and out of the 9–5. Most everything is run like a well-oiled machine, but that's not to say that everything is perfect. If everything was perfect, we'd stagnate. Getting better is at the heart of everything we do, so we've got lots of really smart folks constantly bettering both internal processes and customer experiences. That's what it's all about for us. Come join.

      Cons

      The only "con" is in the word "contacts."

      Company That Cares

      Pros

      Company is both financially healthy and able to maintain a good work life balance. Nice Compensation package. Flexable PTO.

      Cons

      Nothing super pressing that needs to change. For remote workers that still come into the office frequently it would be nice to have a permanent desk setup.
