Pros

I talk nearly every day about the reasons I love 1800Contacts! The values of the company align so closely to my own that I am always proud of the work I have done each day and the way the company represents itself. The company is not just about sales and medical devices and technology. It is actually a company that cares for people. From customers to associates, the goal at 1800Contacts is to put customers and associates first. the old adage of "the customer is always right" is alive and well here. I want to finish up with a thank you for the development and leadership skills I have gained at 1800Contacts. Through awesome managers and talented co-workers and mentors I have become a happier, more positive and focused person. Not many companies can brag about their ability to develop talent and 1800Contacts certainly can.

Cons

I often stay late and work a few too many hours to stay caught up and ready.

Pros

The food is good that's how they lure you in

Cons

I don't agree with how much they let their customers step on the sales reps. The environment is terrible, I just felt bad vibes once I walked into the call center. They also promised me a pay raise after training since I have a lot of experience under my belt and I followed up about it was shut down. Not only do they promise you so many things, when you're making sales during training they give you easier calls to make you think that getting a high RPC is easy. AND NO YOU DONT BONUS IN TRAINING. Honestly it's a load a crap and people may seem nice but it's only because they don't want you to leave. I also had a co-worker that was promised a management job after 4 months of working there and they kept telling him to wait and was still working as an agent after 8 months. Do not buy into them making it seem easy to move up they're really good at that. It's all lies.

Pros

I love this company. I have not worked here all that long but have already had the opportunity to branch out and learn and take on new roles/responsibilities. So many companies talk a good game but fail on the follow through. Not here.. The gym is large, people are awesome. There is a real open door policy towards management. Even those up high in the company. If you want to grow there are opportunities. Sure, the initial entry positions aren't the greatest paying and the most fun in the world, but if you put in the effort, are coachable, and express desire to move up and are a driven, leadership focused team player there isn't much not to love. Also lunches consisting of steak, potatoes, tacos, fish etc for under three bucks and constant events and other fun don't hurt either.

Cons

Initial pay is not great. (Generally 12 bucks an hour before bonuses.)
