Pros

There are so many amazing benefits to receive by working at 1800 Contacts: great health coverage, awesome on site grille, a wellness center with amazing personal trainers, and a culture like non other. Everyone is so positive and willing to go above and beyond for customers and internal employees. There is great upward mobility in the company that I have been able to enjoy! Seriously, it is a great place to work!

Cons

There aren't many bad things to be said about 1800 Contacts, which is why I continue to chose to work here!

Pros

1800 contacts is all all about creating "wow" experiences. The aim of the company is to create a simple and exceptional experience. They have more than done that for their employees as well. I have been "wowed" many of times by associates, management, and the trust given to employees to create that experience for customers as well. Amazing company.

Cons

I live over 25 minutes away without traffic. Location; though great for business, is difficult for commute. Other than that, I can't complain.

Outdated tech, trust issues

Pros

Mostly good people dedicated to the work Great food and gym

Cons

Technology used is outdated and duplicated by multiple teams Pair programming can be a good method for some, especially when used for collaboration between trusted colleges, however, it was used more in the sense "I don't trust you so I'm going to watch what you do" by manager. Everyone spoke of what to hear new ideas but reality from manager was "my ideas are the best, prove why there are not". It seemed more time was spent with recreation and general office banter than actually working

As a leader in the IT department I appreciate this candid feedback. I'm sorry to hear that you did not have the best experience. If you are no longer with us, I'd love for you to reach out to me directly, so I can take you to lunch. I would really like to get more detailed feedback that I can take to the team, and see how we might improve. If you are still with us, please take advantage of my open door. I think you'd be surprised at what we have accomplished when candid feedback is shared - changes may not always occur overnight, but I truly feel that we have a great group of individuals here, who genuinely want what's best for our associates, customers, and our company. Thanks again for being willing to share your experience with us. I sincerely hope that you are comfortable reaching out. I look forward to talking to you further.
