Pros

Love my department and the group of people I work with. Best group of people I've been around in any IT setting to date. This team and all those in IT make me give the rating of 5 stars! It overmatched all the negatives. Amazing 401k match and investing options. Decent vacation if you can negotiate it. Wonderful work/life balance All of IT is nearby in one central location New CTO is amazing, future looks bright w new CTO

Cons

Insurance is horribly expensive and you get very little for the costs. Though I blame ObamaCare and that disaster more than 1st Source. Vacation accrual is horrendous. After 20 years you get your 4th week! Who does that?!!? Luckily I negotiated a decent amount. Been w the company over 7 years and have been stuck w the same amount w no way of more time off than was originally negotiated. Infrastructure hardware is top notch, what is run on it is like living in the 90's. Definitely need to catch up w the times Way too much is needed for process vs what needs to be done IT devices are very outdated and are many of the processes are as well. Luckily they are slowly moving away from this. Overall they need to catch up w how other orgs do things and follow suit. Again running business as they're still in the 90's. Very "old school" in how company is ran.

Pros

Yearly Summer Outing and Christmas Parties. Great vacation/Sick time.

Cons

Extremely under paid with small raises. Expensive health insurance with mediocre coverage. Also when putting in my two weeks, they required a 4 week notice if I wanted all my vacation time paid out. (entry level job)
