Pros

brand is fire. digital team is speeding up. finally got a true CMO vs some tech guy thinking he's automatically a CMO. young staff members that believe in brand.

Cons

CEO has been here WAY too long. it's almost awkward how long he's been here 10-15 years. the business, esp speedway gas really taken a beating the past year due to the economic environment and he wasn't able to avoid layoffs. I'm sure he's smart but brand needs new leadership. also dei is not important to them. it's a check the box. look at the c-suite. all white male except for 1 or 2. I'm not talking expats. brand is OLBIVIOUS people will NEVER pick a c-store for meals over formal restaurants. hence why no one knows that 7e delivers and once they do they don't pick it. duh. nobody is addressing this stigma at all.

Pros

Internal promotions Depending on your direct leadership, ability to work creatively. Competitive pay if you negotiate 7-Eleven will give you a chance, when other companies might not hire you because you don’t have the exact experience they want.

Cons

“Re-structuring” happens ever 1-2 years. People lose their jobs as part of this restructuring. Then miraculously they are able to hire a few months later. How many times does a company need to restructure before they get it right. (I did not lose my position due to restructuring, but witnessed it occur every 1-2 years). Zero loyalty from leadership, but you give them everything you’ve got. Internal promotions equal less pay than coming from outside. Many underpaid, long-term employees.
