Pros

A Place For Mom has a clear mission to help Seniors find a safe and affordable place to live. The mission is one that I get behind as an employee at the company and believe in. APFM constantly undergoes changes that look like the executives have a strategic plan for continued growth, and our company culture has strong character to do hard things in order to try to stay relevant and competitive in the industry.

Cons

When I speak with clients they often tell me that APFM sends leads not within their scope (care type, geography, price point are the most common). Understanding our clients at a deeper level beyond simple cost, care type, and geography will reap dividends for referral partnerships.

Pros

I’ve been with APFM for six years, and what continues to stand out to me is the genuine heart everyone brings to their work. It’s inspiring to be part of a team that truly cares about the families we serve and the impact we make.

Cons

I know we can keep improving, especially when it comes to the family experience. We dedicate so much effort to providing families with the information they need to make the best decision. What can we do to help them recognize the value of that work?

Pros

Work from home, fast pace, great work life balance, great team members.

Cons

Churn and burned. No longer term opportunities, do not value associates, got rid of me after 3 months even though I improved each month. They have training classes every month because people are either leaving or being let go. Unrealistic sales quotas. This is not a good look for the company and a poor way to run an organization. Retention of employees says a lot about the organization. People will work harder and more effectively when they feel they have job security. If you just need a quick check while you look for a real caeer, this is an ok pit stop. Most people say they feel it was a scam because the leads they were given were not quality. They found it to be a waste of money. This place has all the potential in the world to be a great place to work but it just wasn't. The pay is low for the amount of skill, work and systems that have to be used. I have worked places where I have gotten paid way more and had to do way less. The commission structure is good but the quotas are simply not realistic for most and they should know this, seeing as though they have to have new classes each month. Church and burned is never a good look for a quality organization. With some restructuring, this could be an awsome place to work. I would have liked for this to have been something long term but I knew from the beginning, the structure was fishy.
