Clueless Management

Pros

The product produced is the best in the market

Cons

The company are currently trying to grow and develop their sales force however there is no structure as to how this will be achieved, no long term strategic planning or sales focus throughout the senior management team. Senior management would obsess over minute details of your day to day work ,however when 'high level' issues regarding structure, processes etc were raised these were ignored or informed to "sort them out yourself". Cliques within the office environment, a culture with the long standing staff to patronise and dismiss any suggestions outside of their group. No feeling of teamwork at all throughout the whole company. Overall a very strange company to work for with incompetent management.

Pros

Good product idea, growth and sales potential is positive. Annual Xmas do at local eaterie. Parking is free on site if you get to work early enough.

Cons

It's a bit of a late 80's timewarp this place! Passive aggressive culture - one or two people are allowed or feel they are entitled to make everyone around them miserable, upset & uncomfortable on a daily basis & management just ignore it. Weird atmosphere - no team spirit, morale or banter in large parts of company. Sexism & blatant misogyny - women are ignored, derided, dismissed or assessed solely on appearance rather than ability by some men (including senior management). I've witnessed deeply inappropriate and disturbing sexual comments/innuendos/insults and know a woman was verbally abused by men who are not pulled up for it because they are 'good at selling' product. Holidays only 20 days per year which is incredibly low plus you have to deduct the Xmas shut down out of them No enhanced sick pay, if you're off you have to wait until the statutory element kicks in Zero staff benefits apart from cycle to work and childcare vouchers

Pros

None that I can think of.

Cons

The team in which I worked, and one member in particular, were extremely unfriendly and unpleasant to work with - in over a decade in the working world, I have never felt less welcome anywhere as I did there (even when I lived in the South!). It was immediately obvious from the moment I walked in that my face didn't fit, for whatever reason. The management and HR did absolutely nothing when I raised concerns that my colleague's behaviour had escalated to bullying/harassment, as defined by the terms of the company's own handbook. Rather, they decided to let me go, citing fabricated "performance issues" - when in fact, my manager had been nothing but positive about my work and progress, in spite of the atmosphere in my office. Absolutely appalling and disgraceful conduct.
