Pros

- Great people to work with - Middle managers generally fight for their teams - Plenty of diverse areas to jump to - Work is not difficult or overly stressful except for busy periods

Cons

- Upper management make head-scratching decisions regularly - Workload in Total Loss exceeds the average individuals capacity - Understaffed departments exacerbates the issue - Deeply flawed customer survey metrics (only receive credit for 8,9,or10 out of 10)

Pros

It does feel like first line managers care about what you’re going through.

Cons

Heavy workload, people keep quitting (just had two resign last week) and they can’t get them replaced, they send out a log of everyone’s voicemail showing how many voicemails you have and how long since you last played them. The health insurance is a joke. It wasn’t great when I first started, but now it’s even more ridiculous—I never thought it could be this bad. They didn’t opt-in for surgical coverage under our UHC insurance. Instead, they have a separate company called Surgery Plus that will tell you what doctor you can see for your surgery and where you will have to go to have the surgery performed. A co-worker had to hop on a plane to have knee surgery in another state by a doctor she’d never met. What’s funny is that our parent company in California gives their employees excellent health insurance with surgeries included. And California only handles one state while AAA Missouri handles 8. I don’t know how they didn’t see that this was going to be a problem. Now they have job postings online for several months with no applicants. They just take it down after awhile and then repost so that it looks like it’s a new opening.
