Everything else not mentioned in the cons.... This place is stuck in the past in regards to how they manage things. Innovative opinions and ideas are stifled and ignored to maintain status quo. Senior management is stacked with people that have no real idea of what their actual job should be. Way too many project managers that also don't know how the business should function from a technical standpoint. Additionally, the company relies on (and pays way too much for) an offshore consulting company for many of its daily IT functions and even they need some serious look into the quality of the staff they provide. Their "subject matter experts" lack actual experience in the subjects they are working on and instead learn as they go.

They still operate like it's 1950. Departments have no idea what other departments are doing. Projects take forever to complete with no KPI or other ways to measure effectiveness or success. There's usually no where to move upwards or laterally. So the position you take, is the one you've got...forever. If you go in thinking you'll change anything or update how they work, you will get your heart broken over and over and over again. Best way to survive is to sink into the routine and don't make waves.
