A good place to work.

Pros

The benefits are great. It's one of the few places remaining that still has a pension plan. Despite being a non-profit organization, it operates as any large business and there are many opportunities internally for employees to lateral or advance.

Cons

Decision making is sometimes slow. There is a lot of internal competition between employees, managers, and departments.

Pros

Opportunities to work on cross-functional teams, flexible work environment, ability to learn new functions, lots of good training.

Cons

It's often about who you know that determines your upward mobility. Projects are often started, then put on a shelf and not picked back up again. Very hierarchical.
