Pros

Abc is a growing company. The position of OSIM is a great opportunity to see clients in places that you may otherwise not get a chance to see. Excellent training. Benefits are great! Great people work for this company. If you like walking on eggshells....

Cons

Abc told us repeatedly that we were doing a great job with their clients and that they have never laid anyone off in the company history. NOT True. When asked about their plan to employ more people they repeatedly said they were invested in us long term if we were as well. They used us to take care of a large client. For a company that deals with numbers I'm sure they could have done a better job of calculating how many people to hire. After the clients contract was finished they brought us back in for testing and provided an insecure job environment at BEST! HR is established, but not practiced with professionalism. Its all about who you know and not what you contribute to the company.

Thank you so much for your feedback. I am so sorry for your experience. The past few days ABC laid off 42 people which affected all departments. This was the first layoff in our history and a difficult decision to make. - Bill Murray CHRO@abcfinancial.com

Pros

Top-notch employees in both Arkansas and Frisco. Diversity and inclusion efforts Unlimited PTO Countless learning and development opportunities with recent growth

Cons

ABC is a disorganized mess. The company tackled too many initiatives at once without the resources to support successful implementation. This resulted in delays, confusion, and multiple rounds of rework across the organization. The company is now scrambling to find talent to tidy up the mess with mixed results and a high price tag. The company claims to have a strong culture, open-door policy, and healthy “work-life balance” but does not follow through in practice. Many employees are overwhelmed with unrealistic workloads, inadequate staffing, and constantly shifting deadlines. Over the last few months, people have left en-masse in both offices. Those that remain are expected to absorb the work at the same pace and with a significantly higher level of quality. Concerns about employee welfare are heard by leadership but dismissed and reframed as a growth opportunity. Don’t get me wrong. I signed up for a challenge when I joined ABC’s “start-up like” culture. I was prepared for long hours, multiple challenging projects, and aggressive deadlines to help the organization move towards a better future. However, I did not expect the company to continuously “reset” due to poor planning, lack of resources, and half-baked execution of multiple significant projects. Imagine climbing a mountain without proper equipment only to find a taller mountain ahead of you when you finally reach the top. The imagine being told you need to climb the next mountain in half the time while juggling hand grenades. honestly, it pains me to have to write this review. I was optimistic when I started at ABC. The C-suite is incredibly talented, approachable, reasonable, and genuinely seems invested in their employees. I loved the challenge it presented and the collaborative team environment. ABC has all the pieces necessary to be an incredible place to work. I sincerely hope the company recognizes the need for change before the cycle begins again.
