Pros

Great benefit of working from home, incentives, 401k match, Mon through Fri no weekends, major holidays off. Shift changes every 6 months which is not bad because as long as you keep your stats up you will get a good shift.

Cons

Not going to advance very far in your role unless you have a personal relationship with those on the inside otherwise you'll find yourself in the same position for Years despite your stats and proven abilities. Standards raised for incentives making it harder to actually qualify. Its almost as if management wants you to be perfect which is impossible seeing as we don't live in a perfect world. Overtime cut, Pay could and should definitely be better especially since your final check of the month is drained from taxes taken for any incentives or bonuses you received in your prior check. Management is very insensitive to employees issues outside of work whether it be health, outage issues that are out of your control, losing someone, they don't care you better figure it out because your life revolves around ABC. You will rack up occurrences and affect your incentives, annual raise, and I would say chance of promotion but that's probably not likely to happen anyways depending on who you are and who you know.

Pros

Being able to work from home in the comfort of my own home is definitely the biggest pro. The salary is comparable but not the greatest for the job you do and the many duties you may have to handle including listening to venting members all day.

Cons

Whenever there is an issue for something you have done incorrectly you are quickly, within minutes notified of your mistake and given corrective action (email, coaching, etc.), however if it is something you are requesting to be rectified it can take days and follow-ups. We are humans which does mean possibly making an occasional error.

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback. We are always looking for how to improve and we always ask for critical feedback so that we may improve. We look to capture certain experiences through surveys (New hire, on-boarding, training, 90 day reviews, bi-annual employee engagement) and we hold all of our leaders accountable for one on ones with their team members. Since I do not know which team you are on and I would like to look into your situation, please reach out to me so that we can set up a time to talk. chro@abcfinancial.com - Bill Murray

Pros

Decent pay for the state.

Cons

No longer a work-life balance. In order to be promoted (no matter if you're qualified or have a degree) if you don't suck up or know the right people, you will not be considered. If it does not meet the needs of the business, consider it irrelevant. Belittling employees does not make them feel valuable. Having an undergraduate or graduate degree does not mean anything in a company that is ran by those with no higher education.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. It is disheartening to hear that you feel this way. I would like the opportunity to understand your perspective and see what I can do to help. Depending on the team that you are on, for most of our teams work/life balance is always a challenge. We are all obsessed with making our clients raving fans and at times that can challenge our individual management of work/life balance. One of the keys to promotions at ABC is the positive professionalism to get feedback to improve. At times it can be hard to see what we need to work on as individuals. Others may see this, we may not, and that can allow for perceptions and unfortunately negative feelings about others. Since I do not know your situation and I would like to fully understand it, would you please reach out to me so that we can set up a time to meet face to face and see what we can do to help you. - Bill Murray chro@abcfinancial.com
