Pros

None... most people in my posistion don't try to excel cause the pay wouldn't be worth the work. They work on the "don't rock the boat" philosophy.

Cons

No raise (not even cost of living ) in the two + years I've been here, and currently there I'm paying for insurance that the HR department says I have but the insurance companies say they never heard of the company let alone myself.

Pros

The people in my shop (with one exception) were some of the best I've ever had the honor of working with. Pay was decent, nothing spectacular. Did manage to do some personal projects on the side without getting into too much trouble

Cons

ugh, where to begin. Out health care was nothing to brag about the first year i worked there. They changed it the next year so the cheapest (all i could afford) had a $3000 deductible. I managed to find my own insurance provider, and was then told that I could not cancel my ABC insurance, even after I was told directly by HR that I could "cancel any time." Jumped through some hoops, got the necessary paperwork, and was told my insurance was cancelled. Only it wasn't. Me like a dummy never noticed them taking it out of my paycheck (why I hate direct deposit-as convenient as it is, with me sometimes out of sight = out of mind) So I managed to pay for TWO insurance packages for a year, and never used them. Mainly because even when I WAS sick, we were too understaffed for me to take time off and see a doctor. To add insult, I received a letter stating that I owed ABC about $300 for insurance costs after I finally got them to cancel the policy that I told them to cancel a year before. My manager quit because he was tired of getting phone calls from corporate at home on weekends, and because we had this one employee who was just toxic, and for some reason corporate refused to fire her. Funny thing was, I managed to get one write up the whole time I worked there and was "laid off" for it. This toxic employee (with multiple write-ups and complaints against him) was promoted to assistant manager after I was gone. Then when I tried to collect unemployment, I was told that I had been fired instead of laid off, and was unable to collect UC. After the unemployment hearing, the guy that fired me offered to go with me to Subway and "put a good word in for me." Would have preferred a slap in the mouth.

Pros

paycheck close 2 home big bosses rarely visit Cali taking time off is cool 4 the most part if it doesnt conflict with othres

Cons

well the company talked me down in pay when they hired me and made promises to bring me up once my 90 day probation was up. 90 days came and left and i never got a review or the raise that was promised. i asked my immediate supervisor what the deal was and i got no answer. basiclly they deceived me. The pay is LOW based on all my experience.
