I felt supported in my role. I had weekly supervision by quality BCBAs. Everyone I encountered was knowledgeable and always willing to answer my questions.

Cons

Low pay. Other companies in the area paid more than ABSKids offered.

Great Place to Begin and Grow an ABA Career

I have truly enjoyed my time at ABS Kids and am grateful for the opportunity they gave me to begin my career as an RBT. The training was thorough, and the support I received while earning my certification helped me build confidence and skills. The staff genuinely care about the children they serve, and I had the opportunity to learn from experienced BCBAs and fellow RBTs. ABS Kids provided valuable hands-on experience, and I am thankful for everything I learned during my time there. I would recommend ABS Kids to anyone looking to start or grow a career in ABA.

Cons

As with many ABA organizations, scheduling changes and client cancellations can sometimes impact hours. The work can also be physically and emotionally demanding, particularly when supporting clients with significant behavioral challenges. However, these challenges are balanced by the rewarding nature of the work and the opportunity to make a positive difference in children’s lives.

ABS Kids' LAUNCH program also offers a built-in path for hourly increases with tenure for our teams. We understand that scheduling challenges can be frustrating, and we work to improve this aspect of our operations whenever possible. While ABA therapy is a pivotal function of the BT role, we do recognize there are tasks that are tangentially related to providing care, such as making sure the center is clean and well-stocked with the necessary supplies, that may be required of our team members. We will share your feedback with leadership.
