Terrible place to work. Not recommended unless you have no other option
Pros
Pay is slightly higher than market. Benefits are pretty good. Remarkably talented and intelligent workers.
Cons
Unreasonable workload; no career path; people are widgets, not people. Poor execution of processes (agile transformation most recently) I thought I was highly valued but I see now I was manipulated into thinking so. Once I gave notice, I was treated terribly; my reporting manager did not make any use of my remaining time to transition tasks. As a matter of fact, I was told that my leaving gave him latitude to provide additional opportunities for other non-US based resources. I believe I had a single 1/1 meeting with the manager once I gave my longer than average notice; the manager actually canceled my final 1/1 on my last day. HR had not even been notified that I was leaving, so many last admin type concerns flowed into weeks after I was already gone. There's absolutely no career path available in Omaha unless you are in IT support, legal or finance. Job postings are not transparent; there is no way to know the salary range of your job or other jobs. HR is not effective in a job search; your only option to grow your career is to leave. I was personally witness to or the subject of management verbal haranguing and abuse. It's a terrible atmosphere and only upon hindsight and seeing how my new company is, do I have the understanding of how shocking this treatment really is. ACI should be ashamed. They have some of the smartest people in the industry working for them and they are ground down to a nub and treated horribly. ACI pays lip service to employee engagement with regular fun activities but the fun is slapped on, it is certainly not integrated into the culture.
