Pros

None I can think of - Bad comp, culture, and not a good place to build a meaningful banking skillset - everything is inefficient.

Cons

Bad comp, culture, and not a good place to build a meaningful banking skillset - everything is inefficient. 100+ hour weeks and below market pay - no wonder turnover is a problem.

Pros

I worked at AGC for a little over two years, and I am extremely grateful for my time at the firm. AGC has taught me more technical communication, and overall business skills than I possibly could glean from any other source. Coming out of college, I wanted to join a company where I could learn from the best, work hand-and-hand with clients, and have a strong voice in the firm's workflow - AGC has all of that and more, coupled with great company culture. At the firm, I had the pleasure of working with Partners that have been in the technology field for the better part of 20+ years. As a result, you're able to quickly garner critical skills such as market analyses across a wide range of sectors and company analyses to see if a product is actually mission-critical. AGC is also a great place to craft your client management skills. As a junior banker, you are often on (or driving) calls with senior management of your clients. The interaction quickly builds up your business communication skills that wouldn't happen at other banks where you are buried under layers of Directors/Principals/VPs. Lastly, AGC is on an upward trajectory due to its great quality of listening to new ideas/ways to manage the day-to-day deal workflow. In addition, the firm does a great job of listening to the pain points of junior bankers, and they actively work to alleviate the points, making for better homeostasis.

Cons

Much like any other shop in banking, the hours can be long for juniors. But you shouldn't be getting into the field if this is your main concern. AGC has done a great job over my two years to make more support hires to help the junior staff, which does help with the hours.

Pros

AGC Partners is an excellent place for recent college graduates and seasoned bankers alike to hone in on their investment banking skills. With a fast-paced, can-do mindset, and daily exposure to senior members of the team, AGC positions their employees to rapidly develop and launch pad their career. AGC is a very challenging company due to the pace and ingenuity of the team, which is awesome. If you apply yourself and work hard each day, you’ll go somewhere. I interned at the firm my junior summer of college and immediately knew this was the place for me. Fast forward nearly two years, and I certainly believe AGC has better positioned me for success than any other firm. It’s also given me the for upward career development within the firm. AGC and the management team recognize diligent, hard-working individuals and reward them accordingly. Nearly one year into my tenure and I have received handsome bonuses as well as a timely promotion within the team. If you are looking for a place that will challenge you daily, but have you leaving the office feeling rewarded, then look no further than AGC Partners. The company culture is unmatched and promotes strong trust-based relationships between junior and senior members of the team.

Cons

With a high volume approach, you must have the ability to multi-task and stay focused.
