Pros

I have worked here for 6 plus years and watched the organization grow from a traditional start up technology partner, to a market leading, value adding, advisor to our customers. Obviously, fast growing organization experience growing pains, but AHEAD has been able to over come those hurdles unlike other organizations that hit that point and typically fail. The go to market strategy will always change just like technology evolves. The reality is we are ahead of it and not behind it. The people, the culture and the camaraderie are the reason's I stay.

Cons

As I mentioned, with RAPID growth there is standard pain, but the pros outweigh the cons.

Pros

The Services, both managed and unmanaged, products are unique in the industry amongst vendor partners. The marketing is fantastic. The breadth of services provided is amazing. They have their hands in a lot of buckets: server, storage and network infra, ServiceNow, DevOps-related tools, public cloud and others.

Cons

The opportunity to really do what you want is not there. Sure, you can take the training for something else, but if you're needed where you are - that's where you shall remain. Middle to upper managers don't care about your quality of life. You go where you're needed, even if you're ripped from one project to go work on another mid-project. Remote employees each work on an island. There is no real effort to make you feel like you're on a team. Burn-out is a huge problem yet it is not addressed. Quite the revolving door.

Pros

10% shift differential working nights OT whenever you want it

Cons

They do not train their employees on the accounts they support They hire and retain non-technical employees for technical positions They routinely cover up gaps in coverage, training, and other issues from their clients They rarely promote internally, instead having supervisory staff selected from people unfamiliar with processes (thereby extenuating the already rampant problem of lack of insight into account measures CEO is out of touch with reality, stating that "going back to the office is our reward for getting through Covid;" likely has no idea how his business is being run The Managed Services team is run so poorly that several locations had to shutter its doors because the disorganized structure of the team led to a mass exodus after a company buyout
