Pros

Support was great from my recruiter. I appreciated that he checked in on a regular basis.

Cons

Unfortunately, the company put a lot of their eggs in one basket (client), and when thing fell apart with them, it put AIM at a disadvantage in this market.

Growing Company with a Bright Future

Pros

AIM is in the middle of transitioning from an IT staffing company to a full services consultancy. With that, there are plenty of opportunities for quick personal growth within the organization on the consulting side of the house and the ability to work on some very exciting projects and clients. AIM also utilizes a local model for consultants so each market utilizes local consultants at clients sites. This is a big break from the standard Monday-Thursday travel expectations from many consultancies. AIM’s culture is also very unique in that while there are 6 offices nationally and 600+consultants, each local office has a very family-like atmosphere where employees have personal friendships and participate in a lot of local activities, sports, and charity events together. Overall, AIM is growing significantly year-over-year and I see a bright future ahead for this company.

Cons

The Chicago office is near Rosemont so not the easiest to get to. Looking forward to AIM opening up a downtown office.

Pros

The people were the reason I came and the reason I stay at AIM. They're genuine, hard-working, and fun.

Cons

AIM is trying to convert from a staff aug. to consulting approach, which is the right strategy. The problem is that the company, especially their legacy employees---many of which are in leadership positions, are unwilling to fully commit to the strategy. Admittedly, shifting culture and approach is one of the most difficult things to do in business, so I'm giving them some grace.
