Pros

-FREE MOVIES 24/7 ( This is honestly the only reason why I held off quitting. Anytime you want, any movie. You can bring any amount of immediate family and one friend(maybe more if a nice supervisor is working. Saves so much money, and you'll always have something to do.) -Chill people ( The place is pretty much run by teenagers and twenty years old except for maybe the manager and GM. You meet alot of really cool people, and make new friends and you automatically have something in common) - Keeps you busy ( If you're like me you can't be bored for more than 20 minutes at a time. Unless it's a weekday, a movie theater is generally busy, and it's usually in waves so you get fast then slow fast then slow) - Hiding Places ( Unlike a small place of work, you can like hide and take mini breaks in one of the theaters and pretend you're doing "sig checks" or checking the womens bathroom) * In addition you get free drinks/slushees

Cons

-Favoritism & Supervisors ( There are favorites. In every AMC there are favorites. And unless you're not one of them, it really sucks and most liekly you will not advance in the company, or be invited to group work outings, and some of the supervisors can really be horrible) -Advancement ( There's 0 to no chance of you advancing in the company. Must work full time. Don't get this job if you're expecting to advance alot. This was a good part-time job, definetly not a full time) -Hours ( They cut you if it's not busy. You'll work weekends and holidays, yes even Christmas which SUCKS btw. Forget Friday Night Lights, you're working. Requesting days off are hard, even if you're sick they'll expect you to find someone to cover your shift.) -Pay ( You don't get a raise unless you pass a review that happens like once a year where the observe you. The raise is generally 5-25 cents) -Stubs ( They make you pitch it at e v e r y transaction. Pain in the butt)

Pros

All the positions at AMC are bearable, some better than others. Best ones would be booth operator, usher, and concessionist. Other positions include box office and ticket taker.

Cons

Only part time positions available. Management can be too much to handle. Hours can be really low or at awkward hours.
